About Diane

Diane began her exploration into deepening her love for holistic beauty while studying herbal medicine in Northern California in 2000. Her teacher mentioned she always seemed pulled to plants in the garden that were skin loving and supportive. It was during this time Diane was struggling with medical grade acne for the second time since her adolescence and had her very first facial. Immediately following the treatment asked “how do I get this to be my job”, considering her own skin issues and the amount of focus she put into to managing them fusing that together with her love for plants seemed only natural. 

In 2008 Diane took her first educator and trainer position for an organic line, further developing her knowledge of plants and how they support the skin.  Having to switch gears in 2010 she took a similar position with a clinical grade line, allowing her the opportunity to expand of her knowledge of ingredient technology and how it functioned alongside the skin as well a build upon her education skills with protocol and product development.

Having to take a break from the work life of nationwide travel Diane stepped away to focus on optimal health and healing. During this time while living on the beach in Puerto Rico being surrounded by all aspects of nature and time to truly drop in she birthed the ethos and idea of her brand, Take Time Out For Beauty.Inspired by Diane’s over 17 years in the industry, her own skin struggles and a will to empower women through beauty, education, wellness and ritual Take Time Out For Beauty is a true effective resource for all things intuitive and intentional beauty.

In 2001 Diane moved to New York City and began her career, for the next four years she worked in treatment room working on countless faces getting comfortable in her role as an esthetician. In 2006 she joined the team at the NYC branch of the Deepak Chopra Center, it is here she was trained in traditional Ayurvedic healing and skin care practices, through this study she was able to fine tune her diagnostics and techniques that further deepened her approach to skin and ushered her into a way a holistic esthetics.
